Home Sweet Home

When driving back up to Lubbock a week ago Saturday, I had this weird feeling as I passed the green fields of cotton and thousands of windmills and realized once I pulled up to Lubbock, I would not be leaving again until October. After traveling through 4 countries and many cities within the past 2 1/2 months, it felt weird knowing I was going to have to be still for so long. I don't know how well I do "still." I guess it will suffice that the traveling I will be doing will be through watching shows like House Hunters and to get international...House Hunters International.

I am so glad to be back home, though, and jump into the Fall semester SO soon! I have a feeling this year is going to be a GREAT year in ministry and life in Lubbock. I can feel it! One of the most exciting things to me this year is that I have roommates again! I'm so excited about that. Living alone was good and relaxing, but I am an extrovert. As much as I might try to convince you otherwise sometimes, it's just not true. Just call me a liar. I love people, so it'll be so refreshing to come home to people. Awesome girls to just hang out with. Like right now, my roommate and I are on our computers, but we are in the same room doing it. I missed that!

We also have an incredible house that is such a blessing. It's so close to campus that I could walk probably in about 15 minutes. That is amazing to me!!! I think the Lord is going to do great things in this place! One roommate is a youth intern at her church, one works with Navigators, and I work with Crusade, so I think about the number and variety of girls that will walk in these doors and be loved on, cared for and pointed to the Lord. I get so excited thinking about it!

So here are some pics of this cute new place we are so blessed to rent! (and a lot from the rest of my summer in the states including Brett and Kim's WEDDING!!!!)

Up this last week before ministry work starts Monday- Airport Taxi Driver and most likely on-call mover for people coming in town.
