Praying for Moscow

Dear Wonderful Friends,
You may have seen on the news that there were explosions on the metro in Moscow this morning killing about 35 people and injuring many others. Praise the Lord as we have received emails from the team over there with Campus Crusade and everyone is safe. I can't imagine everything that is going on in the lives of the people who were directly impacted through this bombing through the loss of loved ones or just for the city as a whole as they process what happened within their boundaries. Will you please all join us in praying for Moscow?

Specifically, will you pray for:
-the governments reaction to this act of terrorism, that it would not hinder the ability to share the Gospel. Often the governement will us occasions like this to curb freedoms of foreigners.
-the families of the people who were killed and those who were injured. Pray for comfort and forgiveness.
-that through this God would be made known.
-that the schemes of the evil one would be easily identified, and that the people would not believe his lies.

One of the long term staff put up her personal reaction to this event on her blog that I think is wonderful to read to remember the glory of the Lord and further give insight on how to pray. It is at http://laurajaneinmoscow.wordpress.com/.

I am so grateful for each of you and thank you for joining me in prayer for the people and city of Moscow.
-Katie
