Привет Я не понимаю

Yeah I couldn't tell you how to pronounce the title either. Supposedly it says "Hello I don't understand." Those are going to be some useful phrases come 4 months from now when I'm in MOSCOW, RUSSIA!!!!!!!

I think I wrote about this before, but for around 30 days this summer Moscow, Russia will be my home. I have the incredible privelage of leading a team of university students to cross an ocean to reach other university students for Christ. I mean what job gets better than this!

I know many of you might be thinking, "Haven't you 'been going' to Russia for about a year and a half now?" Well yes, but this time it's going to happen! Last year due to a couple of circumstance the trip was canceled. For example, last year this time I was coleaderless. BUT, this year this time, as in now, I have multiple leaders going with me!!! May I introduce you to my lovely leaders going on the adventure of a lifetime alongside me?Burke is on staff at the University of Oklahoma and is my coleader in crime. Well not crime, but my coleader. He will make this summer project a musical as there is always some song coming out of his mouth. He went to Moscow a couple of years ago, so his experience will be invaluable as he leads us around a city of 10+ million people with a language that looks like mumbo jumbo to the most of us. Also, there is not an introverted gene in this dude which will be awesome as we lead the 30+ students coming with us as I'll most likely be just as exhausted and confused as they are.

Trace is on staff with me here at Texas Tech, and pretty much a fantastic guy! He's venturing into the world of the kremlin, babushkas and a lot of snow (thankfully not while we are there) with his beautiful wife (my dear friend) and their three girls. It's their first time overseas, which is so exciting and what a place to make your first trip across the ocean! A bundle of personalities and encouragement I'm grateful to spend the summer with this family! Trace is also going to be Burke and I's hero as he is our operation's director...a.k.a figure out all of the money and visa stuff. I give many thanks already!

So there you go, with the other 8 staff and 28 applicants (hopefully more) planning on joining us this crazy summer, I'd say we have a summer project, and it's for sure happening! The Countdown begins - 129 days to go!!!
