Resting with the Family

Rest is a wonderful word. It's even more wonderful when the noun becomes a verb. Thankfully, for the past couple of weeks, that's been true in my life. Going into the summer I didn't know what to expect since my plans of going to Russia were canceled therefore leaving the first half of my summer to reconnecting with current supporters, and making new ones. What was going to be a hectic first half turned into a glorious restful time. I've been able to spend most of it with my family, and I couldn't have asked for a better first half to summer 2009. Being over 8 hours away from my family on a normal day basis it's been so nice being able to just live life with them for the past 2 1/2 weeks rather than just visit on a weekend. I'm excited to go to Colorado come Sunday, but I will miss the peaceful, rest that comes from spending time with the fam. After Sunday, I'm not sure when my next visit is going to be, but I'm grateful for this one I've had.
