EHarmony

Don't get your hopes up peeps. I'm not ready for that yet. I do find it VERY amusing, though, how often that phrase has made it into conversations lately.

Instance one occurred when my dear friend with super eager eyes and a huge smile, suddenly grasps on to the edge of her table and declares "KATIE! I know what you should do! You should go on EHarmony! It would be perfect for you! You should SO try it!" I'm not even sure we were talking about anything dating related when she had this light bulb moment, but her confidence and encouragement on how I'd be great for it were enough to make me chuckle.

An even funnier moment only days later was after my dad asked me if I liked anyone these days and after answering in the negative, he also suggested EHarmony. (May I mention that my parents have always been amazing in the sense of never trying to set me up with people, never really mentioning anything, really just leaving the dating area of my life to whenever I want to bring it up. I guess you only get 25 years of that because lately that has all changed. ) This came WAY out of left field for him. After he suggested it, I went to my mom for defense, and instead she agreed and said it'd be fun. Hmmm...not so much the response I was wanting. My dad then went on brainstorming how I'd make millions if I somehow created an EHarmony for Crusade staff. He quickly came up with how my brother could figure out the computer stuff and then my parents would do the matches. Tempting idea, but have no fear fellow Crusade singles...it's not going to happen.

I think a Crusade staff version of Eharmony is the best idea ever! ;-) I would join.

My husband was on staff with CCC and we met on eHarmony!

He just got a job at a church in TX, so we're moving to the Lone Star State in March!

You could make a killing on this with CCC staff...imagine the possibilities...and no need to raise support anymore.

Starshine and I highly recommend eHarmony...go for it! Trust your parents on this one :). I know some staff guys who are on it.

HAHAH that's great....

my parents don't talk to me about that stuff either, but I'm pretty sure that my mom has talked to my friends in town about how at one time or another I should marry somebody from my STINT teams....

oh, and I'm gonna be an old cat lady....
