"K"atie's Amazing Friends

I'm currently spending time with my family before I head off to Branson, MO for six weeks for my summer assignment with Crusade. While sitting at home taking advantage of my parent's DVR and their new Wii, my dad mentioned two things. 1. That I have about 300 pictures to go on my 365 pictures blog and the year is almost half over. 2. That I've been stuck on "J" for awhile.

Well, there isn't much I can do to make up for the pictures since I can't go back in time, but I can go ahead and move on to "K."

This past Sunday I think I experienced the easiest move I've gone through in my entire life. If you have read this blog at all, you know that I've moved a lot. I've mentioned it before. I counted the other night, though, and if you count at least a month as living somewhere (which for this year it does), I will have lived in 7 places that I know of so far THIS YEAR ALONE...Italy, College Station, Houston, The Woodlands, Lubbock, Daytona Beach, and come Sunday, Branson. So when I say this past move was super easy, I have the credentials of experience behind me.

After only three months in my house in Lubbock, I needed to move since my 15th Street house was going on the market and being sold to new people. By the grace and provision of the Lord, which I say with all genuine sincerity and gratitude, I found a house on 8th Street with fun, new roommates from church.

This past Sunday comes along, and it is the day to transfer all of my stuff from one house to another. The idea of moving is not a fun one to me. Words like "stress" "sweat" and "suffering" come to mind, so I can't say I was that excited. This time, though, five of my wonderful friends came over and 1trip, 4 cars and 40 minutes later, all items had been placed into my new room. It was amazing! I think my sweet friends felt that it wasn't that big of a deal since there wasn't actually that much stuff and it went so fast, but I just kept thinking about how if had just been me, or even a couple of us, how much longer and more complicated it would have been. The previous words were replaced with "peace," "unsore arms," and "free time to actually eat dinner with my friends." So Abe, Kim, Casey, Toriko and Jenn, ya'll are my moving heros!
